Our monthly meetings for March and April will be held on the first Tuesday of the month in Room 3 at the Friends Meeting House, Ship Street , Brighton. Our May meeting will be a special guest on May 30th and the June meeting will be our AGM on June 23rd.
Both these last 2 meetings in the Lecture Theatre at Friends Meeting House.

Report back on the Adelante conference held last December in London. Theme of the conference was ‘defiant in the face of imperialism’. Four of our members who attended workshops on different aspects of Latin America at this inspiring annual event, will lead a discussion on some important issues, with ideas for our campaigning.

‘Dare to Dream.’ This new documentary film tells the story of the 145 graduates from the United States who studied in Cuba’s Latin American School of Medicine and over the last 10 years have been returning home to to work in poor communities. ‘These doctors are a joy to watch as they describe their free scholarships, their learning experiences, overcoming difficulties, and their deep gratitude for everything the Cubans have done and continue to do’ Followed by discussion.
